Meet the Cast of AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’
   
Katelyn Bowman (Charlaine) is thrilled to be joining this exciting production of Ain’t Misbehavin’ and sharing the genius works of Fats Waller. Past credits include: Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live (national tour), Hairspray (Lil’ Inez), Stop Kiss (Sara) and Urinetown (Soupy Sue). Special thanks to Fredi, Kenny and Andrew! Love to mom, dad, Karin, Keith, Dana and the munchkins. Dedicating this one to Grandma, whom I miss every day. Thank you for inspiring me to stay with it. I miss you every day. Psalms 23.
   
Né Lasheé (Nell) was born Yolanda Reneé Hagins and is a native of Hackensack, NJ. Her vocal talents were discovered at a very young age, while singing in church choirs. She is a recipient of the prestigious “Sempler Fidelis” Award of Musical Excellence presented to her by the US Marines in recognition of her musical excellence as a soloist. Né Lasheé is a former member and Musical Director of the Harlem Gospel Choir. She has performed in various off Broadway plays such Ain’tMisbehavin’ (Nell), Sing Harlem Sing and Mama I Want to Sing(Sister Carrie/Mama/Dinah Washington). However, her favorite role to date is Effie in Dreamgirls at the Axelrod PAC. Composer Henry Krieger lauded Ne'Lashee' for rendition of “I’m Not Going” as “exactly the way he wrote it.” Né Lasheéhas performed near and abroad in places such as the Blue Note Jazz Clubs in Fukuoka and Osaka, Japan and all around Europe. She has successfully transitioned from stage to the small screen as a cast member of the web series The Conservatory. During the course of her career, Né Lasheé has worked with various entertainers such as, David Garrison (Married with Children), Michelle Thomas (Family Matters), her uncle James “J.T”Taylor and Kool & the Gang, Shirley Caesar, Kim Burrell, Dorinda Clark-Coles, any many more. She is also a proud member of recording artists, Mietta Stancil-Farrar & Tehillah. She' remains loyal to her family, church and community. “Love the art in yourself, not yourself in the art”
   
Sandra Ward (Armelia) has embraced singing and musical experiences all her life journeying from glee clubs, church choirs, group ensembles and social competitions extending from America’s Got Talent to the world-famous Apollo Theater. Her love and passion for singing remain dominant in musical arts,and she has delighted many audiences by performing lead vocalist roles in holiday productions such as “From Heavens Throne”/D.T. Clydesdale, “Spellbound”/Q. Pronker, “A Christmas Carol”/C. Dickens and “The Mountaintop”/K. Hall. Sandra has volunteered her time to serve and assist her local church in leading worship services, singing before thousands of congregants on a weekly basis and graced with the opportunity of releasing her first solo gospel CD which was a bestseller in community bookstores and nationwide venues. Sandra is most grateful to God, her family and friends for their unending support and encouragement to expand her musical aspirations. She enthusiastically looks forward to performing in more theatrical roles in the years ahead and thrilled to be part of working on the Axelrod stage for the first time with a phenomenal cast and crew.
   

Larry Darnell Penn Whitfield (Ken) is a Southern dreamer with an intense passion for comedy, storytelling and song. He received a BFA in Musical Theatre with a Dance Minor from Catawba College and moved to NYC shortly after. Some favorite professional regional shows include Five Guys NameMoe, Ragtime, Dreamgirls, Jekyll and Hyde, Godspell and Fiddler on the Roof. He is an active participant in the NYC cabaret scene playing such venues as The Metropolitan Room, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, The Triad and the West End with his one-man series, “Confessions of a Plussizetwink.” He thanks APAC for the opportunity. Obediah Wright (Andre) Internationally known creative director, Audelco-nominated choreographer, master teacher and storyteller is a native New Yorker and a proud Julliard alumnus. His credits include: Assistant Choreographer, Black Nativity(Fox Searchlight Pictures), The Dream at 50 (PBS), Hair, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat (MTV Made), Head of The Class: The Lion King, (Disney/The Bravo Chanel), Fame (MGM), The Wiz, Founder/ Artistic Director Balance Dance Theatre. Fashion Week NYC, as well as several music videos and international commercials. Mr. Wright has worked with A-list talent such as Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Mary J Bridge, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Dionne Warwick, Debbie Allen Geoffrey Holder, and Liza Minnelli. Currently Mr. Wright is choreographing a commercial for the Japanese moving company Nitsu.
